The ling actually didn't beat the others it was 26lbs. not shabby though for april. here is Bill and the guy that caught it..

Hello Linda,
Just got a report from Bill, He took out Shannon today and her group.
Bill made a comment very very sweet bunch of people, Believe Bill said they got out for snapper and looked but, no one was home today, the bouy's were wrong. Seas were nice but, as usual current was rippling water was sandy green today, Ended up with a 4' shark so they came in..
Again Shannon it was so nice emailing you this week I really enjoyed it :-)
I will have another report for Sunday,

HIt the mouth at 10pm, wasnt till 11pm that i got a bait(cut mullet) in the
water...dont ask...anyway, water was great, a little windy but still awesome
night! told by brother i was leaving at 1:30,... 1:25 my longrod doubled and
the fun was on, not a super large fish but but sure was a pretty site
watching him break the surface about 4 times in the light on the water!

I sure will . I will hog tie him up for you and he can dictate he is good at that hahahaha..
He told me the water temp is warming unusually this time of year his last trip he found a warm spot of 74 degree's no winter and ling being caught in Jan this is unreal!
But, he took the photo to prove it. I would have not believed it. haven't seen many amberjacks brought in.
Most the tuna trips have not been doable because of the seas he managed 1 trip 88 miles out with nothing productive except grouper but, that was ok they caught fish had a great day water was full of sharks and they had a blast with those. As long as our people were happy we are too.
Did find some nice spots for sow snapper for season opening in April.
Everyone had the fishing Lic so we stopped coming in for reds and a nice 4' shark, 4 state water snapper up to 8lbs. ! big ugly blackdrum released with success.

Here is the shark report for Jan 10th
Trip for 3 people offshore Freeport. Managed a nice 6'ter about 40 miles out and the ling pictured.
Stopped in at the snapper spot state water and found this big guy awsome shark! Didn't try for him but,
got a awsome photo shot of him . You can make the photos smaller if you need to.

Plenty of bull reds still out get your trip set before snapper season booking quick!
