Speed limit on the beach is 15 miles per hour. 2.
Our beach allows two-way traffic and parking at the waters edge and at the
dunes. On major Holidays and weekends the
Chief of Police may determine that one-way traffic is necessary. 3.
All terrain vehicles are not allowed on the beach.
Any vehicle that is not street licensed is not legal. 4.
The dunes are protected by City, State, and Federal laws. They are strictly off-limits to both pedestrians
and vehicles. 5.
Horses are not allowed on the beach from May 15 through Sept. 15. They are allowed on the weekdays from April 1
through May 15 and Sept. 15 through Oct. 31. They
are then allowed every day on the beach from Nov. 1 through Mar. 31. 6.
Camping is allowed on the beach; of course a vehicle permit is required. Camp fires are permitted, so long as they are
under control and no bigger than 3 x 3.
The Christmas trees and sand fence along the dune line are for erosion control. They are not to be disturbed or burned. 7.
No fireworks of any kind are allowed on the beach or in the city limits. 8.
NO GLASS CONTAINERS ON THE BEACH. 9.
Keep sound systems at a volume that doesnt bother your neighbors. 10.
State of Texas
alcoholic beverage law prohibits public consumption of alcoholic beverages from 2:00 am
Sunday morning until 12 noon Sunday. 11.
Dogs brought to
the beach are to be kept on a leash.

THE TREES AND FENCES PLACED ON THE BEACH TOOK A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY TO PLACE .THEY ARE THERE TO HELP RESTORE THE DUNES. DO NOT BURN OR REMOVE TREES OR FENCES.
